This page is dedicated to my mother, Jewel who cared enough for my fathers art work that she asked me to take care of it, catalog it and perhaps publish some of it. I am currently publishing selected 2-D works by Erin Byrd Bartholomew AKA Byrd (pronounced like it rhymes with tired) Bartholomew on my Instagram account. Most if not all the posts of his artworks are tagged #erin_byrd_bartholomew .
Limitations at this time are the quality of some of the photos I have to work with.....so if you are in possession of one of Byrd's paintings please contact me if you would like it to be included in the catalog I am building.
More information including selected artworks will be forthcoming.
Born in his parents home in Fayette, Utah. Raised on the family farm his younger days were filled with the tasks of a 1930's-40's rural farm.
Seen here in an oil self portrait at age 20. Byrd was an accomplished musician playing trumpet in a dance band that traveled central Utah during the 1940's. He was an outstanding high school artist and he attended Brigham Young University where he earned a BA in art with a minor in French.
